I Know That One Day...
I know that one day you will care about wearing the "right" clothes, right hair and accessories.
I know that one day you will say things like "like" "face" or what ever your generation comes up with to imply that you don't care what the generation that came before you did to pave your way.
I know that one day you will drive, test boundaries and kiss a boy.
I know that one day you will be huffy, rude and think I don't know what you are going through.
I know that one day you will make mistakes.
I know that one day you will want to spend more time with friends than with family.
I know that one day you will find someone that you will fall in love.
I know that one day you will leave home.
I know all of these things with every ounce of my being.
I also know that I am going to enjoy each and every single minute until they happen. I will take advantage of each cuddle, kiss and smile. I will relish each and every time that you come to me showing me your school work, new toy or just the fact that you could do it!
I will cherish this time with you knowing that one day you will outgrow me.

These post brought tears to my eyes. It's bittersweet, isn't it? I look at my girls and try to soak in all that they are now. I want all that they are now to stay in my memory so that when those "one day's" come, I will appreciate them for what they are now rather than looking back and wishing I could remember what once was.
