Box Tops University Wrap Up and Giveaway
Last month I got to travel to Minneapolis, MN for Box Tops University. It was a fabulous experience. Not only did I get to take a behind the scenes look at General Mill Photograph Studio, I also learned a ton of new stuff about Box Tops. In my own life I have made changes in how I shop, including more box tops brands in my shopping cart to make great recipes like Monkey Bread Minis. It was so exciting to see all the hard work and effort paying off for coordinators from all over the country. They offered so many great ideas and inspiration. As a blogger, I also got to see and connect with the brands that partner with and support Box tops for Education. It was amazing to see their commitment and excitement about all the new ways that schools can earn even more in the coming year.
I didn't realize when I left Minneapolis that a little seed had been planted. A seed that is blooming into a new found love for Box tops. I have since volunteered with the Kindergarten here in town and plan to do the same with the both of the boys schools, to help collect and raise money with boxtops.
After listening to one coordinator talk about approaching the funeral homes in town to collect box tops off of Kleenex packages, I was encouraged to do the same. They were going to waste, but will not be saved!
I am working on putting collection jars all over town for those that don't know what to do with box tops or have no children in the right age to collect for.
I also talked to the principle that I am volunteering for about allowing some of the high school groups to adopt classes or even grades to encourage and help them to earn more.
If you have any ideas on how to raise more box tops, I would love to hear them.
Now that you know how much I love Box tops...guess how excited I was to get this Big Bog o Box tops in the mail...
On behalf of General Mills I am able to offer this same package to one of my Lucky Duckies!

I keep a little cup in my kitchen where I drop all the box tops I come across in our house. Most common item I find them on? My Toaster Strudels!! I just picked up some Zoopals at the store the other day not realizing they had box tops on too! Since {to my knowledge} my sons school does not save them, you can expect to get them in your mailbox!
ReplyDeletei'm so excited to finally give all my box tops i've been saving for 2 yrs to my new kindergartener's class! i'm hoping she turns in the most of all the kiddos in her grade. i don't think that there is a contest or anything but you never know. :)
ReplyDeleteanywho, i put them in my junk drawer in the kitchen, they are all waiting to be put on the color sheets downloaded from the btfe site. :) thanks for this awesome opportunity & what a cute lil' model you have.

ReplyDeleteEven though my kids are no longer in elementary school, I still continue to save the box tops. I cut and save them in a little plastic bag that I keep in the kitchen drawer. Every other month, I drop it off at the school. I think most of my box tops come from cereal boxes.
ReplyDeleteThanks!

I collect box tops for my kids school. We store them as we get them in an envelope (we also have an envelope for soda can tabs that are also collected) The school sends home a sheet monthly where we tape/glue the box tops to and send them in.

I collect box tops off from everything I can!! I also put a collection box in the break room at work, so I could get them for my daughter's future school! (She's only 4 and not attending yet!) I probably collect the most box tops from Betty Crocker Fruit snacks/fruit Roll Ups. I think it's such a great program, and always buy products with box tops! I even buy more when the catalinas are happening to get extra tops!! :)

ReplyDeleteExtended family saves Box Tops for my boys along with us. At work I take them off the garbage bag boxes when we get new ones to use. I put them in my drawer with my paper products in a baggie. I send them to school once in the quarter for one son, the next quarter the next son, and so on.

I like to save up my boxtops in my silverware drawer, I keep them in the back of the drawer. When we get enough saved up then I print off the fun BoxTops activity pages I found online for my kids to color then glue the tops on it to hand to their teacher. My favorite item to get boxtops off of are the 2 packs of Nature Valley granola bars found in the dollar section at Target. I always use coupons on them to get them for .50-.25 per box.

Anytime we clip one, we put them in a back on top of the frige. I'm not sure how to earn more without spending more money. I'm still new to this! :D

ReplyDeleteNot that the box tops are junk....they are the good things in the drawer! But there's a better way to keep organized by putting them in the drawer.
