Weekend in Review: Instagram Style
This weekend we planted our vegetable garden. I am hoping this turns out better than last year when I started seeds inside and absolutely nothing came of it but weeds and basil. We bought plants from a local famer's market and are hoping that this will in fact garner all our hard work with some real life vegetables grown by us.We planted:
yellow squash,
zucchini,
sweet onions (might be a little late in the season but we again are hoping for the best,)
5 tomato plants (including an heirloom tomato and yellow tomato,)
5 bell pepper plants (including yellow, green and red,)
banana peppers,
rosemary,
chives
and
basil.
Wish us good luck. <-- I think we are going to need it. I plan on spending a little time each day weeding and watering but after the disaster of last year I'm not exactly holding my breath.
Avery played his last soccer games this weekend. While he will still be practicing with the competive team his season is over. They won one game and lost one Saturday. He did though get to play goalie, which was pretty fun.
We are at 262 geocache finds. After soccer we decided to grab a couple here in town. I think Hubby might even be getting into it. Either that or he is getting better at hiding his detest for this game that I have fallen in love with.

Good luck to you! Hubby and I spent a few hours out in our garden today. I can't wait to start getting the veggies and start canning them. Great idea on banana peppers, too.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how much geocache success you have had! You rock!
ReplyDeleteI hope the garden is very fruitful this year!
