My Six Words:
We Love Toy Story 3 Best!
I don't know what it is about these cute little movies...but if we (the parents) were forced to pick a favorite kids movie - it would so be Toy Story 3!!
The thing is - it's kind of made for adults (shh don't tell my kids) but I would have watched it with or without them!
So when we found out that Border's was doing a Toy Story 3 Event - we were so excited to take our kids.
The event started off with some Toy Story 1 & 2 trivia - which I gotta say - my kids were good at - I am not sure if this more adquetly shows off my kids memory retention of my preference to let them watch movies all the time. :)
Then there was a coloring session - which Miss Maddy was all over - all the sudden at 2 - she is the Coloring Queen:
The poor ladies that hosted the Event at Border's then proceeded to read a very long book to a group of kids ages 1 - 10 - some listened - some did not - some were shushed with gum...oh was that just my kids?
The folks at Border's were so sweet to serve cupcakes and smoothies at about the point that I thought these kids were going to mutiny from restlessness...
I couldn't see a single thing that made this a must see in 3-D....it was kind of like watching one of those old toys - the tv where the background stays the same and the characters move around in front.
But the actual movie - Flippin Fabulous!
My favorite part: Buzz's Spanish mode!! :)
Have you seen the movie? What did you think about the 3-D?

~mine are anxious to see...our littlest has a hard time with 3d so i think we will be waiting for it to come out on dvd...what a great mama you are to take them celebrate the day in such a fun exhausting way!! warm wishes and brightest blessings~
ReplyDeleteI agree with every word!
ReplyDeleteIf I had it to do over again, I would skip the 3-D fees and see it in 2-D. Would have saved $10.50, too, but the 3-D version was in the better theater with the stadium seating and comfy chairs. ;)
And I, too, <3 Spanish Buzz!!!

That event at Borders looked like fun. We didn't see the 3D version, but we agree that Toy Story 3 was the best!
ReplyDeletewe are not down with 3D, Hubs hates it and Lovebug just can't keep the glasses on!!! :)
ReplyDeletebut it looks like you had fun!!!
Talk soon, The Buzz, Brandy
We saw it not in 3-D and I was very glad (especially for my 2yo's sake!). And I LOVE the Spanish mode!

Spanish mode was my favorite, too.
ReplyDeleteWe did not see it in 3d.
SPOILER ALERT: We saw it on Friday in 2-D...I knew The Boy wouldn't keep the glasses on for 3-D and I wasn't willing to spend the extra money. The Boy was scared of the incinerator scene and we were awfully close to having to leave, but I knew about the scene beforehand so I just kept telling him it was going to turn out OK.
ReplyDeletewanted to go to the borders event, but wasnt sure it was worth it- look slike it was! havent seen the movie, not sure i can keep my 3 yr old sitting thru the WHOLE thing, and at $8 a ticket plus, dont want to waste the $$$ is she wont watch it all at the theatre!
