I love that they love strawberries!
I can't begin to tell you how proud it makes me that my kids love to eat things that are so incredibly healthy for them...now don't get me wrong - they are just as excited about a Happy Meal.When the kids came home from VBS (vacation bible school) they were really hungry - so I offered up strawberries...you would have thought that I was giving them candy. They were dancing around - shouting Yahh! We Love Strawberries.
I need to look into finding a farm where you can pick your own...at breakfast one morning this week - my middle son said he didn't even know that you could grow strawberries. My kids need some education about the fine art of farming.

My kids love strawberries, too!! I may take them to a picking farm next week. I can't this coming week because I'm babysitting Mon, Tues and Thurs.

ReplyDeleteI have been strawberry picking with my kids since they were old enough to walk and was taking my cousins since they were old enough to toddle down strawberry rows. I love it and the beauty part is they don't weigh you afterwards! You end up with twice as many strawberries that way! teehee! Don't forget a hat when you go! Visiting from 6WS.

ReplyDeleteMy parents used to take me & my sister to the strawberry farm near our house every summer. We always had so much fun eating the berries right from the field, and then taking the rest home to make strawberry shortcake and jam.

ReplyDeleteMy son loves Lychee berries. :) They are so yummy. We grow our own strawberries but between my son and the hubby I can't ever eat a single one. :( As soon as one turns red they pluck it and eat it.
ReplyDeletethose pictures are too cute!!!! My kids love strawberries too and I LOVE it - you really can use strawberries as candy for kids - I dont think they know the difference :)
