NEXT WEEK'S QUESTIONS (submitted by DEE @ REDHEADED STEPCHILD SAY ANYTHING:
1. Do you remember the first blog you started following? If so, who & why did you keep going back for more?
2. Pretend you are 16. Being able to look ahead at your life now, what would you, at 16, have found most shocking or unexpected about the life you ended up having?
3. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What would you be now if you could do it all over again?

Hi Mellisa - Happy Easter! First of all - I love your beaded watch - that is gorgeous! Congrats on the win!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny that you got married on the wrong day - I haven't heard of that before : ) You are too funny.
Yes, tattoos can be kind of painful. I think the closer to the bone it is, the more it hurts LOL.
I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for mingling!
Community gardens--good idea! Serving others..That is perfect.
ReplyDeleteNice mingle.
hope you have a super week this week.
My wedding was perfect for me.
Simple wonderful. That's all I remember.
I would love to take a look at the cookbook. It sounds like it would have some really interesting recipes. Old cookbooks are so neat.
ReplyDeleteI have a tattoo on my ankle bone and it was really painful too. As long as the end result is okay it's worth it.
So I typed up my comment and at the last minute it went poof! Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI notice that when I write up my mingles if I can't get the video, there are more comments. I think people are used to reading quickly rather than sit and listen to a video.
That is an interesting story about your tat. You and your sisters will always have this together.
I'm like you in that I feel I'm kinda straitlaced. Of course I can break out too you know.
I agree with your ideas for office. If only we do reach out more, but it seems that one thinks that the other doesn't need a friend and the other is thinking the same and the cycle continues.
Every neighborhood should have a community garden! Bring the neighbors and children together. It's soo strange not to know my neighbors. In my country you know everyone!
That is too funny that you got married on the wrong day :) It's your memory.
Wow. That watch is beautiful! Nice win woman!
I bought an earring on The Red Envelope once and was very disappointed when it came as it was so small, but they did state the size and I should be more intune to watching :)
Cooking through the book sounds really cool!
I have been hearing alot about funky monkey snacks lately.
Gosh your little ones are just adorable! *HI* :)
I think that you and your sisters thinking about your tats and how they remind you of your brother is so nice.
ReplyDeleteThe garden idea is great!
Too funny about the wrong date!
I absolutely LOVE the bird dish. I LOOOOVE IT!!!
Yeah, the prob with old cookbooks is the food choices were much different and you find a lot of things you would never eat now. LOL
Your kids are adorable!
Have a great week.
Seriously though that watch is GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteCommunity gardens is a great idea, I think they try to do a lot of that in underprivileged neighborhoods to bring people together and Lord knows we all need bringing together a little more!
Have a wonderful week my friend!
Tattoos do hurt! Depends on the person's pain tolerance, and where the tattoo is. But that's so cool you went through with it.
ReplyDeleteCommunity gardens are fantastic. Love that idea.
Wrong day? LOL That's great.
I love that - do good deeds. I think that is so true. I wish I could grow a garden. I have tried, believe me, but I kill *everything* unfortunately. BUT, I do have a friend who helps run a garden with a bunch of inner city kids in Baltimore. He loves it, the kids love it, and it produces such great things - other than veggies. ;)
ReplyDeleteUm, I think I might vomit if I tired any of the liver recipes you mentioned!
And the kids are adorable! :D
I love your tattoo story! That's so awesome. I totally agree, live in the moment. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love you for the gardening idea. Thank you, thank you , thank you! I think more people should garden. I'm about to move again, but once I get settled I plan to start a little windowsill garden. It'll be around July...but I'm super excited!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Nice to meet you this week! Have a lovely day!
Ah Mellisa I am totally misty!! You are too awesome woman. I love to be upbeat...keeps like fun and on the edge.
ReplyDeleteDOOD, your tat story is awesome!! AWE! SOME!
YES on the pay it forward...should be law. I love to watch peoples responses on paying it forward for something as simple as a smile or thank you or whatever. I love the garden idea...I so need to do a garden, then I dont have to get dressed for tomatoes. I am such a lazy nerd.
What a fun wedding story! See you have a party for two days lover!! Your anniversary and then the one for the country. ;)
I know I am so late....I will try not to be next time. I am awful! Hope you had a great week!! xoxo
