Monday Mingle

Each week Jennifer at

hosts Monday Mingle...3 to 4 questions that you answer in the form of a vlog and then link back to her site.

I think it's a fun way to get to know some fellow blogger's and also a great way for you guys to get to know me a little better.

1. Do your kids have chores? Do you pay them to do chores?
2. Were you in Girl Scouts/Brownies or Boy Scouts? Are your kids? Favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
3. Does your family go camping? If so, do you have a funny/interesting experience?

Next week's questions submitted by Greg from Telling Dad!:
1. If you were forced to choose between skydiving, base jumping off a skyscaper, or rock climbing, which would you choose?
2. Are you an aggressive or defensive driver?
3. Due to a sour economy the genie can only grant you ONE wish. What would it be?

  1. Hello! I tried to list my giveaways but it says the linky is closed : (

You are too funny - I laughed at the end of your video. I don't use YouTube so I can't be of any help - sorry!

I was COMPLETELY fascinated with your Geo Caching (did I spell that right?) story. I am off to Google it now. I am curious if there are any in my area. I haven't heard of it before but it sounds like so much fun. What a neat way to propose too!

    Thanks for mingling again!

  5. Hi Mellisa,
I'm better at rewards too, they seem to go over well with my daughter. We don't get Caramel Delight here in Canada either, watching these mingles is making me mad - we are seriously deprived here!
Geocaching has gotten HUGE, I can't believe it! They are a lot of fun. And that is the best geocaching story ever - how sweet!

See you next week, have a great one!

  7. Hi there! Enjoyed your mingle and I like the incentive idea for chores. We've tried allowance, threats, bribery, and downright sobbing. Share your secrets. :)

YES! We share the same cookie favorite...as most have on the Mingles. I thought I was a minority with the Caramel Delight affection.

That story on camping was too funny...someone got lucky with old McDonald's toys, lol.

I've never heard about Geocaching, I'll check that out. Wonder if we can add our own? And if we can bury our pets.

    See you next week!

I LOVE girl scout cookies. Samoas, thin mints and then taga longs...

  10. Chores - Keeping up with the weekly chores is definitely a pain, you end up following them around to get things completed as I'm sure you know.

Girl Scouts - I'm always surprised by how many people actually like the caramel delights. I've never been a fan of coconut myself.

Camping - I really don't know much about Geocaching but that sounds really fun and how sweet about the proposal!

  11. I love using incentives, we used incentives to get my twin brothers to potty train and it worked wonders.

I think cub scouts /girl scouts is a selective thing for kids, some kids do well with it but some really don't. I didn't so much. I've never had caramel delights!

The worldwide treasure hunt sounds like so much fun! I love the take it and leave it idea, what a neat concept. I'll have to check ours out and see if we have any locally! I LOVE the engagement story! HOW FREAKING SWEET! I would love an engagement story like that, it's adorable :)

Thanks for visiting me for mingles this week!

  12. Scouting is so much fun, but a lot of work. I've never heard of the caramel delight - but I know each region has different cookies. They sound similar to our Dulce De Leche.

Geocaching! What fun - we do letterboxing. A similar experience, but with rubber stamps instead of trinkets. No gps is needed. I love to do it when i can - but my family doesn't so much, so it's just for days when mama needs to "go take a hike." ;)
