Can You Free Right? I Can't Yet!! (# 2)
Last week I tried free writing for the first time and it was just a big fail...I think that I over thought it and worried a little too much about it...so this week...timer is going to be set and my mantra is going to beIt is what it is.
Thanks to all of you who left me an encouraging comment and I hope that you will try this sometime too!
10 Minutes: of free writing -- just set a timer -- type -- publish -- no spell checking -- no editing
Do you ever feel like the whole world is out to get you? I felt that way this past week. I had a day that I usually work -- but I didn't have to. I was supposed to be at E's school at 11"15 to pick him up from pre-k (which I used to do all the time before I started working again) and while I got up in plenty of time to get there on time -- it seemed that the closer that I got to 11:15 the slower I was going, the more that I was tripping over someone's discarded shoes. I lost my belt that morning too...so I searched every room in the house...trying to figure out what I could have possibly done with it...I got myself and Maddy in the car -- only to see that the window's were completely frosted over...meaning I had to search for the ice scraper...It was in the other car...meaning I had to sit and wait for an eternity for it to defrost....meaning that I caught every single light between here and there...
I finally got to the deserted school...thinking that I must be the worst mother in the world...the one day that I actually get to pick him up and I am so freaking late...and then Maddy wanted to walk...she's 2 now and can't stand to be carried to much ... so I let her walk and just tried to go as fast as her 2 year old legs could...
But I learned something ...
E's school now get's out at 11:20...there were 4 other Mother's waiting outside the classroom...I even got to do a little Mommy chatting (which I don't get to do a lot)
E's teacher came out and was they both were (finished after timer) pleasantly surprised to see me their instead of my Mother-in-law who usually picks him up...we went out to lunch just my 2 youngest and me...I came home and put them down for a nap and tried working on a vlog...does anyone else do those?

Oh! I can top that one! I sent my six year old to school on a day when it wasn't in session. (It was an in-service day for the teachers.) No mother of the year award for me when I had to pick him up!
ReplyDeletegood job. I dont vlog but want to
ReplyDelete:) good job free writing :)
ReplyDeleteI had to do a vlog for an assignment in one of my classes. I dont like seeing myself on Camera so its not my cup of tea... and i have the worst case of southern accent you may have ever heard!
Glad you got to free write. I've never done well with it. Also, glad your stressful morning ended up turning out well. I HATE frosted windows. Especially when they freeze up between when I get to and leave work. It should not be that cold that I have to scrape before going to work and coming home, hehe.
ReplyDelete:)
Did you say no editing? Oh that's a toughie! You did really well though!
ReplyDeleteThat was great. I'm glad you continue to try. Bravo!
