Throwback Thursday
Kell over @ Unnecessary Drama posted this on her blog. I thought that I would give it a try.* Throwback Thursday *
Name a moment from your childhood that you, to this day, can recall like it just happened yesterday. We all have them - so whether it's funny, embarrassing, touching, or unbelievable .. SPILL!
I can still remember being forced to smoke cigarette after cigarette after being caught smoking by Grandma Jean. I thought that this was really cool at first...now I can do it without having to hide. I still to this day remember the thinking right before I puked that I would never do this again! Had to do this again when I was 16 or 17 when caught by my parents. Thought the same thing then too! I would not recommend this as a way to get kids to stop smoking. I had it done to me twice and still smoked after. I think that you have to teach kids to say no. Once you start it is so hard to quit. I spent all of my adult life thinking that I wanted to smoke, only now finding out that I addicted. Now before you start with the comments about why I should stop, I know why. I am trying. I stopped for a month a couple of months ago. I am thinking about trying again but not telling anyone. The pressure was hard to deal with. Everyone asking about it. I did the patches before and these combined with gum were great at getting through cravings.
If you want to join in the McLinky fun...post about a childhood memory and link up here!!

I SOOOO get you. Quitting is hard. I quit for 5 years. Yes, FIVE years. And darned if I haven't started again. Try explaining that one to your child.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my little world, and promising to follow. Not everything is fabulous over there - but I try.
